Hall & Woodhouse
Badger Brewery traces its roots to 1777, when Charles Hall founded Antsy Brewery. His biggest customers at the time were British soldiers. Stationed on England’s south coast, soldiers guzzled down their last bit of Britain before departing for America to join the fight against the colonists. Once Robert Hall took the reins in 1827 and made his nephew, Edward Woodhouse, a partner, Hall & Woodhouse was born. The brewery today is owned and operated by the seventh generation of the Woodhouse family.
